Embracing Diversity and Inclusion: Building a Stronger Future Together
Diversity and inclusion have become buzzwords in contemporary society, echoing across boardrooms, classrooms, and communities. In a rapidly changing world, the importance of fostering diversity and inclusion cannot be overstated. This article delves into the essence of diversity and inclusion, exploring their significance, benefits, and the crucial role they play in shaping a progressive and harmonious society.
Dance As An Art Form
Art is defined in the Oxford dictionary as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, in a visual form, via works appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. And in Britannica online, dance is the movement of the body in a rhythmic way responding to music that may be lively, spirited, vibrant, moody, slow, or soft. The visual components of color, form, line, shape, space, texture, and value, maybe two or three dimensional, descriptive, implied, or abstract is projected in every dance rendition. All these characteristics make dance a solid art form.imagination, in a visual form, via works appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.

Redefining the Value of Water
In the epic poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Rime of the Ancient Mariner there is a striking image of a ship floating on an endless ocean, its crew sprawled on the bow, slowly dying of thirst. The accompanying verse includes the classic line “Water, Water everywhere, Nor any drop to drink.”
The Perils of Blended Learning
Also labelled as Hybrid, Blended Learning should be a complementation of face-to-face and online classes. Ideally, students learn the basics in the classroom; and in the computer be able to apply the basics. In most cases, classroom classes are reduced in favor of Internet-based reading and assignment to be completed. Most dependent on Internet connectivity and the quality and clarity of the module package.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial Intelligence is the development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages. AI uses the capabilities of the human mind, creates applications to perform complex tasks that were once done physically and manually. Developers combine AI with data science, statistics, business knowledge and mathematical algorithms in building smart machines to efficiently perform tasks with accurate data and information, interpreting them to make analytical conclusions to connect with customers, identify patterns, and solve problems.
Note on Understanding Consumer Behavior
What is it to understand? If we were to understand how people behave, how do we begin to approach the task? What are the mechanisms of the mind or the senses that prompt understanding? Brian Chance (2007) provides key points in his review of Wayne Waxman’s book, “Kant and the Empiricists: Understanding Understanding” published in 2005.
The Climate Change Challenge and the Philippines
If global temperature increases by 1.8 to 2.2 Celsius, the sea level would rise. It already is rising higher than the global average in the Philippines. This combined with extreme rainfall and storm surges, the majority of the population residing in cities along its vast coastlines will be permanently inundated.
Pasko na naman: Christmas Pinoy Style
The countdown for Christmas in the Philippines starts as early as August. But the festivities run a quarter, covering the ‘ber’
months of October, November and December.
And instead of an angel heralding the coming of Jesus Christ, the iconic singer Jose Mari Chan commences the Christmas season with his songs.
The cold winds of ‘hanging Amihan’ cooperate with ‘simoy Pasko’ chilly breeze.
Endangered Species: Too big a task for conservation and too costly, why even bother?
Among the many causes of species extinction are demographic and genetic phenomena (a natural selection process of keeping beneficial genetic traits and eliminating poor ones, those with poor ones tend to be weak and die off completely), destruction of wild habitats (exploitation of forest resources of which various animals depend for survival), introduction of invasive species (whether done intentionally or by accident causes the replacement of existing species with new ones), climate change (rising global temperature and sea levels causes alteration in animal survival by affecting eating habits, reproduction or the need to seek other habitats), and hunting and illegal trafficking (the black market becomes an attraction for use of exotic animals as pets and animal parts as ingredients in consumer products, like aphrodisiacs).
All About Trees.
Trees are essential in this planet and scientists have long believed that the planet’s oldest single living thing is a tree. The Methuselah in California’s White Mountains is the oldest documented living bristlecone, which, based on tree-ring data, is 4,853 years old. There are 9 other trees existing in other parts of the world that is more than 2,000 years old. This should tell us something, that more than anything else, we should not cut trees, let me explain.
